Giving From the Heart
In the CEF of Smith County there are lots of people who volunteer their time and talent to make the local chapter a success. To show my appreciation to these wonderful folks, I like to send them a homemade card. I believe that when they receive something as thoughtful as a card that I have designed with them in mind, they understand how valued they are in my eyes.
Here are a few of the cards that I will send to those who have helped this week.
For each card, I used the same basic design. This design came from MOJO Monday's Sketch 194. I added stitching, ric-rac and brads. I am easily bored so on each of these examples I changed the focal point a bit. Each one features a tea-bag fold done in a complimentary B&T paper.
Someone recently asked for a tutorial on tea-bag folding. Instead of trying to shoot pics (I have a really cheapo camera), and explain it, I thought I would link you to a few tutorials that I have used.

These sights are great! You can also search out more sights by using the keywords tea bag folding and/or kaleidoscope fold. If you find something really great, I would love for you to share it with me.
Until then..Happy Scrappin,
Becca

Backyard Bible Club
This week I begin my summer, not the long lazy days of summer but a busy summer filled Backyard Bible Clubs. What's a Backyard Bible Club you ask? Its kind of like a mini vacation bible school held in a home, park, community center...basically anywhere there are kids. The purpose is to share the love of Christ with those who may not have the opportunity to hear about God and His great love for them.
I have been training a group of youth workers for the task of conducting Backyard Bible Clubs and yesterday was their first day out. The did an amazing job! We have the awesome opportunity to conduct 4 clubs in this first week! How cool is that? And we also get to work with the children's leaders from my church.

What's In Your Creative Space Today?
In my creative space I have beautiful flowers, buttons and swirls!
Pages and pages of flowers, buttons and swirls!
They are the stamped embellishments that we will be using at the Bullard Community Library on Saturday, June 11 for the 20 Page Sophia Workshop. Workshop attendees will never have to worry about having the right embellishment. They can stamp to their hearts content using CTMH's exclusive inks and acrylic stamps. Here are a couple of ways we will put the stamped embellishments together.
I have to thank Pam Thorn for putting this workshop together. She works hard designing the pages and figuring out how to get the most out of the paper choices you have in each kit. Thanks Pam for sharing your wonderful creativity with me.
There are a few spaces left if you would like to sign up by Monday, June 6. The cost is $35 and you receive a complete Level 2 Sophia paper pack, 1 package of Sophia Stickease, 28 Sheets of Coordinating Cardstock, Stamped Embellishment Sheet, and Workshop Guide.
